Presentations and TV device sizing?

My HDMI stick mini PC say the resolution of the device (TV) is 1280x720... but when creating a presentation with that sizing, it only takes 3/4 the screen. I can manually adjust; but would like to programmatically understand how to adjust screen size.  Or at a minimum <center> ;-) the presentation on the screen.
Thanks

Hi Glenn,

Have you set the presentation settings to 1280x720?

Yes.  I have set the presentation to 1280x720. And it only takes up 3/4th the display screen.  Thanks,

Glenn,

This sounds like an issue with the hardware, either your media player or the display itself. Apart from ensuring the presentation resolution, there isn't a lot I can do from my end.

Can you check your display's documentation to see if it supports that resolution?

Hi Blake,  You were right. The android mini pc stick has a media resolution: 1280x720; I thought that was interpreting the display device.  When I checked the actual TV display device it was 1920x1080. When I made that change, it correctly rendered to size.  Thanks

May I ask what HDMI Stick PC you are using?  Looking to do something similar for a couple of non-critical displays at my camp.

Hi Nate,

I have used the following. The most recent is the Android 4.4 with kitkat (in bold) and seems more stable but a bit more pricey. I use the url link via the rise vision schedule to render the content.  I also have an Amazon Fire, and it seems to okay.

Mini Pc Mk903v Google Tv Stick Dongle Quad Core Android 4.4 Mini Pc 2gb RAM 8gb ROM Better Than Android Tv Box ($80-90)

MK809III Mini PC TV Box, Android 4.2.2, RK3188 Quad Core up to 1.6GHZ, 2G RAM, 8G ROM, GPU Mali-400 MP4 OpenGLES2.0/1.1 and OpenVG1.1 ($40-50)

I hope that helps,
   Glenn
