Presentation within presentation is not loading

Hi,
I have a presentation slide which includes multiple slides (as presentation within presentation). Today except one of the included presentations the rest are not loading (the place holder does not load the presentation). I was wondering is there anything wrong with the server today or something changed that I can not see the rest of the presentations. The problem just started today and I didn't have any similar experience before and I did not change any settings. The presentations are scheduled to show only on certain hours.
Thank you

Arash,

This is likely due to our deployment yesterday, where we introduced some additional functionality for embedded Presentations.

Go into the Presentation Editor for the Presentations that are not playing, and click on the Presentation Settings icon in the top right. In there, you will see that there is a new feature called Play Until Done Placeholder. Select a Placeholder that you want to show all the content therein before moving to the next content item, and then save the Presentation.

This will ensure that all the content in that Placeholder will show, and then it will move to the next content item in the list. More information on this setting can be found here.

If the current Play Until Done Placeholder is one with nothing in it, it will skip that embedded Presentation.

Let us know if that solves the problem.

Thanks!

I realize that this issue was reported and resolved a year ago however we are having the same issue.  At first I didn't think much of it, but it has happened to us twice now at two different locations running different presentations.  We are able to resolve it by closing the Chrome player and restarting it or it eventually resolves itself over time (several hours).  Any suggestions?

And no, the problem isn't that they run and then stop.  The issue is that the presentation doesn't load.  It's just a blank area with a black background.

Rex,

Do you physically have access to these machines? I would be curious to see if the console viewer is showing any errors. It could be a network issue in the two locations that you are seeing the problem, it could also be a caching issue.

Can you tell me what player you are using? Native or Chrome App player? Also, what OS are you running?

The issue is happening in two locations:  Seattle and Berkeley.  I can connect to both of them remotely but am unable to do this until later this afternoon.  In Seattle we are using a Raspberry Pi running Rasbian and it was set up per the Rise Vision online guide.  I can access it via SSH and VNC.   In Berkeley we are using a Dell 660s.  I'll get the details on the OS, etc. later today. I can connect to it remotely via LogMeIn.

In Berkeley we are running it on a Dell Inspiron 660s using Windows 7 Professional SP 1.   We are running it on the Chrome App player.

Rex,

When you are able, please pull up the console viewer and let me know if you see any errors.

Thanks!
