I have been trying to save & preview my presentation but each time I can never see my design in preview and it won't save... I also tried copying the html from my design and opening it in a new presentation to see if it would save & preview there but no I still had the same problem, so I was wondering if there is a glitch with the system or what can I do to fix this issue I'm having?

I have experienced something very similar yesterday. The 'SAVE' button did not work, but 'SAVE & PREVIEW' worked. I believe clearing the browsing history and cookies can fix this problem.

Just like diets...the cookies are always the problem.

Let us know how you make out!

I looked at it here at work and the SAVE is working just fine. It is really has to do something with your browser. Try cleaning the cookies/history, log out an in, restart... etc.

I know it is silly, but I am going to ask anyways. Do you click 'SAVE' in the widget's window before clicking PREVIEW. Sometimes SAVE and CANCEL buttons do not fit and you cannot see them; therefore, you one can easily skip them.

lol yes I made sure all of my widgets were saved.

But the problem was my account that I was on because when I copied my html code on to a new presentation under my personal rise vision account it saved it in no time.

So I guess its something wrong with the other account but thank you for your help

We recommend Chrome, I know I have seen some weird stuff with Safari, so I would be safe and go through Chrome route :)

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Classic editor or new editor won't save my Presentation !.

For the past hour I have been trying to save & preview my work but it keeps reading error under the classic editor and it just won't save under the new editor, it just keeps saying "loading preview"

someone had commented under one of my previous post & suggested that I should clear all my browsing history but that didn't seem to work either.

if anyone else has any idea what I can do to solve my problem please let me know

Could you try saving your presentation in Incognito Mode? I'm curious if you have any browser addons that are interfering.

Thanks!

honestly I just think its something wrong with the company's account because when I log in to my personal one it works.

But I did try the incognito mode & its still doing the same thing.

When you say the "Company account", do you mean the login account?

Are you able to go to the User Settings of that Company account and see if there are any user roles they are missing?

Could you open up Google Dev Console and take a screenshot of the results of saving?
  • Cick the three vertical dots on the top right of Chrome
  • Click more tools
  • Click developer tools
  • Click the console tab
  • Click save presentation
  • Take a screenshot of what appears in console.
Post it here and we'll review!

I am having the same problem across different browsers and for different company accounts. Browsers's history cleaning did not help. I get multiple errors. Saving sometimes works, but not publishing. I am out of options.

Update: well, it has to do something with the PC. I cannot do any publishing from home from any browser, but I have no problem doing this from my work PC. Both are running Windows10.

Darius,

Could you provide a screenshot of the dev console as requested above?

Thanks.

Blake, I will certainly do that when I am back home. Thing is it gives 40+ error messages... I will try to get the most interesting, I think.
