Presentation not working

I have a simple presentation, 1 placeholder, with 4 images.

If I create a trivial HTML file to play the 4 images in the browser, it works fine.

If the 4 images are in a presentation, I just get a blank white screen on the display, if I try to preview it, I get the spinny circle.

The presentation is published (only have 1), only 1 schedule, only 1 display.

If I display URL's on the displays instead of a presentation, I get what I expect.

Can somebody point out what I'm doing wrong?

Started with a new blank presentation, added a placeholder, added 4 images to the placeholder.  Nothing fancy.

presentation name is test1.

In the schedule "always", I have 3 items defined, a straight jpg image, the presentation, and an URL hosted locally that plays the images in the presentation.  1st and 3rd items work, I get nada from the presentation.  Not sure what to look for.

Any tips appreciated.

It gets weirder, if I add an custom URL, that just opens my rinky-dink little HTML page that displays the 4 pages in the place holder, it works fine, except for an odd border around everything, but I haven't looked at the CSS to see if something is going on there.

Hi Jaye,

Thanks for reporting this - including the presentation link is very helpful.  I've already started looking through it and it's interesting.  Give me a little more time to check out a couple of other things and I'll get back with you on a recommendation.

Jaye,

I made a copy of that presentation and had the same issue - no matter what images I put in there.  When I created a new presentation and used your same image links - that one works just fine.

Jaye,

It looks like the problem was a result of three extra lines in the <head> section of the html.
I created a copy of your presentation (in your company) called "copy of test1 - matthew@rise" and removed the 3 problem lines and it displayed correctly (at least in preview).

Feel free to compare the two presentations, and while I can't copy/paste the html directly into this form, the problem lines were:
'<script>some stuff<script>'
'<link some stuff>'
'<script>some stuff<script>'

Let me know if that fixes it for you or if I wasn't clear.

Thanks,

Matthew

oh man, we were monkeying around with some HTML stuff, and we pasted it in there and didn't remove it all.  I should've just deleted it and started with a blank one.

My bad, and my apologies.

Thanks.
