Has anyone figured out what needs to be copied from an online (Microsoft Office Drive) PPT embed code, to paste into the Presentation HTML widget (like we do with Google Slides)?

Hi Catherine,

I have never tested or tried embedding a Microsoft Office powerpoint so I'm not sure if it will work. But in Office 365 you can share a PowerPoint with an embed code. (See the images below.) You may want to set the PowerPoint to be at 1920x1080px or the same size as the Placeholder it's in so that it looks good.

I hope this helps and if you test it out let us know how it works out, I'm sure others would be interested in this.

Thanks!

Thank you Shea. Yes, I have the embed code, but looking through it, I can't tell what part might be the ID. In google slides, I usually copy from the d/ to /embed.

Catherine, why do you need just the ID? Does embedding the whole code not work? And if I had to guess I would assume that the highlighted piece in this photo is the ID but I'm not 100% sure, I'm not very familiar with Office 365. Sorry I can't be of more help.

How do you 'autoplay' and 'restart' this?

I figured out what part to copy and paste (and I did reboot), but all that comes up is the first slide of the show, and it doesn't play. I'll see if I can play around with it some more tomorrow.

Well, I figured how to auto start, but it just does not loop when embedded. It would just stop at the last slide. It is OK if there was only one slide. but I find it useless in slideshow mode; Google Slides work better.

Thanks for pursuing this Darius. I was hoping to be able to use PPT because videos can be embedded into the slides. Google doesn't have that capability, which is limiting.

Right, they aren't ideal either, but I use them for basic message boards (images + text), which works for us rather well. I was hoping to achieve something like that with PPT because so many businesses already use it.

Yes, and PPT has more capability than slides. But google slides works fine, so I guess that's what we'll have to use...
