My office has a LG smart tv & it came with a signage program, but it has limitations in areas that are important to the company. My question is can Rise be used on the smart tv without needing any additional hardware? Thank you.

In short....No.
Smart TV's use embedded code.

The good news is that you could purchase an Android HDMI PC or even a Raspberry Pi for less than $100 and simply plug it into the TV once configured.

I will add to this. The biggest issue with smart tv's is the os they use. Samsung has tizen. Lg is web os, and now a few others are going to have android TV. It's hard to code for all the different tvs because they are all different in terms of the code. If your looking for low cost android is the way to go. If you doing something high end I would do a windows player any day. Thanks

I appreciate the responses. Is there a specific piece of hardware that is compatible with a LG television?

James,

As long as your LG Television has an HDMI port, you should be good to use any of the devices in store.risevision.com.
