Over a couple of last weeks some of our players experienced connection interruptions (one just this morning). All of them went offline temporarily at odd times; it was not related to reboot or anything like that. Most likely local network issues, but the fact that it started happening now in different locations keeps me worried a bit.

I am using 2 ways to track player status simultaneously: fast and dirty - Google Remote Desktop, closer inspection with Rise Vision Displays App. What I noticed is that after the network connection was restored and I was even able to remote-in using Googles Remote Desktop App, the status consistently stayed RED (offline) in Rise Vision Displays App. It even affected content on one of them - iframe content disappeared as it would be offline (this is special case, content inserted via HTML without using any widgets). It looks like Rise Vision simply did not came back online after the connection was restored. All the players, however, performed like champs and played content from cache.

In all of these cases I rebooted players and they came back to normal. Nothing very terrible happened, but I though perhaps you want to keep an eye on this, maybe it is happening to other users as well. I hope those were just isolated occurrences.

Got it. Thanks!

Could you confirm the approximate time you were able to remote into that Display and saw Display Status offline only to show online after reboot?

The first time I checked status around 7:40 AM and it showed offline in both Google Remote Desktop and Rise Vision. I immediately noticed time when the display went down, it was 7.23 AM.
The second time I checked status, it was around 9 AM and Google Remote Desktop already showed me the display as active and allowed me to remote in. In Rise Vision, however, the display still showed as inactive. I noticed that display content was working fine and disconnected. I waited for another hour with something (I was hoping to see Rise Vision to update the status to ACTIVE) before remoted in again and rebooted the display. It was around 10:20 AM. The display came back up and was displayed in Rise Visionas active again . This is when I captured screen the last time.
