Hi folks!

Presentation here: http://preview.risevision.com/?type=presentation&id=8351ae15-c5e8-4fa8-8d9d-a0e534770fcc

In the main area on the right side of the presentation, I'm linking to images hosted on my companies server. The transition is set to fade. Currently, in preview and on our actual displays, there is a dip/fade to black between each transition. Is it possible to get these to transition more smoothly from one to the next?

I searched the community a bit and couldn't find any exact solutions for this.

Thanks!

Hi there,

It looks like the fade transition is operating normally, which may not be ideal in your situation.

You may want to look into developing some custom HTML with a fade transition between images. There are many resources available online. Here's a quick and to the point guide on this subject.

CHi,

Are you using black color background in you presentation? I am not seeing this. Pictures just fade to whatever color is behind them.

And it fades in nicely with the Image Folder Widget, but I think it works only with the RV Storage.

Id suggest changing the background color in your presentation property to white, that may give you better results. As Darius mentioned it should just fade out revealing whatever is behind that placeholder.

Hi!

We have the same problem. The transition is not perfect. It doesn't matter if the background is white, black or transparent. There is a (very short) fade to the background between each transition.

Darius,

That is correct that the Image Widget does that, however from RV News and CHI Digital Signage's description, it sounds like they are using images not stored in Storage. I have changed this to an idea, so be sure to vote it up if you are interested in this functionality!

Robb,

Not exactly. I never use Images as in Folder option, but stack them as separate items within the placeholder using the Image Widget. I do it this way because I often want to use other widgets in the same placeholder too. Now using this approach the background is showing.

Darius,

Yup, that is what I renamed this idea to, can you check the title and make sure that makes sense to you, and is indeed what you are seeing? Maybe I need to reword it :)

Thanks!
