I have Rise Vision working nicely on 5 x Raspberry Pi connected tv's throughout my school. However when the Pi is turned on each day, I get the following message at the top of the screen:
" wants to use your computer's location: Deny - Accept"
To get rid of this I have to remote into each device, and click either Accept or Deny.
Is there a way to either:
- stop rvashow asking for location
- set the Pi to stop asking for a location
- auto click either Deny or Accept?

Interesting, we remove this message from the Chrome and Chromium instances running on Windows and Linux Players, I guess it doesn't work on the Pi (which is something we will test for).

Are there any Weather or Foursquare Gadgets in the Presentation? These are the typical reason the Location request comes up. If you remove those Gadgets, it should go away when you restart the Presentation.

Hi there

I just installed a rise player on an Intel NUC with Windows 7 and I also get the message: wants to know your location. How can I remove that message?

Operating System:Windows
Player Version:RisePlayer 2015.
Viewer Version:1-06-201510071813
Player Browser: Chrome 46.0.2490.80

Thanks for your help

Hi Diego,

Please see this Chrome Help article on managing location sharing on Chrome.  Also, are you signed into the Chrome browser?  Ensuring that you are also signed in to keep customized settings (see this Chrome Help article).

Let us know if that helps,

I had this message, too, but noticed it was related to the now depreciated Weather Gadget. As soon as I got rid of it, everything was fine, so if you've got that in there that's probably it.

I noticed I could get around it by making a change to the presentation and hitting "Publish", which made the notice go away when the player refreshed, but the best way to deal with it would be to get rid of the weather gadget if it's around.
