Right some staff members want to update our digital signage with simple text ie lunch rota or lunch menu. What is the simplest way of doing this. Can anyone recommend me a way without giving them full access.
The easiest way would be to use the Google Spreadsheet Widget. You can add the Spreadsheet Widget to your presentation, and only give your staff members access to the actual spreadsheet. They'll be able to change the menu from the spreadsheet without ever touching your presentations.
Yes, it does update automatically and fairly fast. The longest I had to wait was maybe 10-15 minutes, and most of the time it was instantaneous update. And spreadsheet is by far the most easiest way to do that. You simply setup the spreadsheet, attache it to your presentation (this is the hardest part). Later just give the link to whoever would be updating it, which is just text input.
