Sogit,

Sounds like it may be a power setting. Doing a quick Google search, I found the following: http://www.tenforums.com/general-support/9548-upgraded-windows-10-monitor-turns-off-after-1-3-minute...

Let us know if any of the points in there help!

Sogit,

Ah, thanks for that clarification. I think the issue here is that our Windows 10 Player kills explorer.exe, and since the explorer is not running, you are only going to see a black screen on that other Display.

The only way to get that Display back if you are going to keep 2 Displays on Windows 10, would be to open Task Manager, and restart explorer.exe. That way you will see everything come back, and you will be able to use that second Display.

Can I ask why you need that second monitor running? Was there a specific purpose to have the second monitor running but not be part of the Presentation?

Thanks!

Robb,
i will try the option of running explorer.exe once the Presentation is running in the Main display, do you have a idea of how to create a task to do that automatically once the Presentation runs unattended??
i need both display in case that i need to look at something regarding troubleshooting or configuration, i also use that same computer for another job that require the extra monitor..

Sogit,

The only thing that comes to mind is a task set up in task scheduler that runs maybe 2 minutes after the machine starts up, that starts up Explorer. That's the only thing that comes to mind. Maybe someone else will mention a different idea.

Thanks!

Update to the issue:

i got it to WORK! [steps]

1- open Task Manager and Startup
2- choose Electron [the rise vision executable], right click and Properties
3- then Comparability tab
4- check mark on Disabling display scaling on high DPI settings
5- you can also check Windows 7 for compatibility mode
5- done!

now i can restart my system and watch how the computer login, open and run Rise Vision all automatically and i still have my second monitor up and running.

i hope i can help someone else!

FYI= I tried disabling the DPI scaling since after Windows 10 upgrade many programs needed that to get done in order to work properly, for instance QuicBooks, Excel or Word.
