North American Calendar option

I noticed that will the new Editor Beta you still chose to use a calendar format that most people don't use.

Yes, it's an ISO standard, but I don't know a single person who uses a calendar like this. Every calendar I see and every Calendar App i've ever tried uses Sunday-Saturday formatting for weeks. RiseVision and Ceridian are the only companies I have seen doing this (And Ceridian has received several complaints from our staff about this as well).

.

Should really stick with formats people actually use and perhaps add a setting to change it for those who wish to have their calendars like this. User Experience at it's most basic here.

Hi Glen,

Thanks very much for the feedback!   We really appreciate it and will definitely take this into consideration for the future.

Glenco,

You say: "most people don't use" & "I don't know a single person who uses a calendar like this" & "should really stick with formats people actually use." Man, Rise Vision works and thinks globally and most people around the world use Mon-Sun calendar layout. However, I hear what you are saying and of course it would be nice to have an option for both layouts. Yet, as resident of the US I see no problem when using Mon-Sun layout. It works for me. So here you go, you know one now :)

So you have all your calendars set by default to Mon-Sun?
That's what I mean by I don't know anybody that does this. I am forced into it here and in Ceridian software, those are the only places I have seen it in use.

I agree that they are global, but a small script to auto detect users location, plus the ability to set a preference would make it that much easier for the users. It's the small things that make a UX shine.

I am not looking to change them to Sun-Sat if they were set to Mon-Sun by default, let me put it this way. Basically I have no problem with both. But I agree with you, there should be both options available.

That's what I mean though, in North America, I don't know of any software that sets it this way by default. I've used dozens of apps and have had to support dozens of others and have never seen this format being used.
