This is terrible! You have removed all of the customization and ability to use the old gadget!

User friendly is worthless if it doesn't work correctly.

I am sorry but right now this is no upgrade. It is a downgrade because the new Google Spreadsheet widget lacks several customization features found in the old Spreadsheet gadget.

I know that you have put a lot of work in this new Google Spreadsheet widget but some fine tuning must be done.

Keep up the good work.

Martin,

Sorry to hear that, can you let us know which key features that were in the Gadget are now missing from the Widget that you used regularly?

Also, can you check out this forum post, and let us know if the custom layouts is something you would like added back in?

Thanks!

Andrew,

What customization features were present in the older Gadget that are not present in this new one?

If one of them was the ability for custom layouts, check out this forum post and let us know that you want custom layouts added back in.

Thanks!

"Scroll Hold" really needs to be put back in the feature set. Still using the Gadget because scroll hold is not in the widget.

To begin with, the continuous scrolling feature doesn't exactly continuously scroll anymore.
It resets and transitions at the end of the list over and over and over which looks quite terrible especially if you have a list/column that has maybe 2 or 3 extra rows in it.

The custom CSS is not accessible through the widget.
This is an absolute MUST HAVE feature, especially if you expect anyone to pay for it in the near future. (which seems to be the business model supported by your company,  starting completely free, rapidly increasing your customer base and building a product that people enjoy using then once they're hooked, gradually charging for feature after feature until there are only a few limited free items or trials to use)

Custom CSS is useful in a lot of ways, like embedding font styles, font shadows, etc...

Column Padding is gone... This helped out occasionally and would be nice to see this again.

Decimal Place option would be nice as well.

Honestly I can't think of a single feature on the previous version that doesn't need to be included in the new one. Including custom layouts. I never took advantage of this feature, but I planned on trying it out in the future and I can see its usefulness.

First off, thank you to Rise Vision for being an incredible resource for digital signage network operators over the years. I appreciate all of the services you have provided...and essentially given away in the name of advancing the industry. I would however like to kindly echo a couple spreadsheet features that I personally would love to see back. Primarily the continuous scroll feature allowing for "looping" and not resetting via fade in. The updated version only allows the top items in the list to be viewed very briefly--instead of allowing them to rise up from the bottom gadget border like they used too--thus giving them equal screen time. The other convenience would be column padding. Helps tremendously when laying out several columns over a background graphic with pre-dfined column containers. I suppose I could use separate worksheets, but that makes updates a little more cumbersome for non-technical clients. Again, thank you for an outstanding platform.

Thanks for the kind words, Brett.

I would encourage you to make a new topic with the Idea tag. If we could get a discussion going on it, it would definitely be helpful for the developers to see what is needed by the community in our next release.

You're welcome Blake. I've posted as a new "Idea" as you suggested. Thanks!
