We are pleased to announce the release of our new Image Widget! This Widget will be replacing the Image Item currently available from the Placeholder properties Context Menu. We will be removing the Image Item on Monday, February 23rd. Once removed, please use the Image Widget to add Image(s) to your Presentation.

In addition to the improved UI, we’ve added the ability to control the alignment of an image within the Placeholder and corrected an issue where the fade transition was not working properly with the scale to fit option.

For more details on the Image Widget, please take a look at the Documentation, available on

I have simple question. Is there a difference in browsers behavior  when using 3 different image linking methods provided by the widget. In particular I am interested in 'Single Image' (RV storage) vs. 'Custom URL' when also linking to the image in RV storage.

The reason I am asking is that I often place images with similar names within the same folder. Later, I simply copy the widget item and edit the existing link (usually by changing one number in the name). Now, 'Custom URL' allows me editing links easily, but 'Single Image" does not, which makes this method PAINFUL. I just want to be sure that there will be no problems down the road with 'Custom URL' method; I want to use the safest option for image placement.

And yes, I know about 'Image Folder' method, but totally not using it.

There are no changes to be made with the Custom URL option that I am aware of.
