New idea for scheduling management !

Hi !
I have an idea about schedules.
As an example, I use two separate screens with 2 separate media players in different locations.
I have several contents to display but I want to display one of the contents only on one screen. I set up the presentation to do so by chosing the right distribution. But in the schedules it seems that the screen that doesn't have to display the content waits for the duration of this content by maintaining a black screen.
Is it possible to make it skip the presentation it doesn't have to display and release the next one ?

Hi there Bertrand. This is an interesting use case.

Can you share a link to your Schedule? I'd like to check it out for myself and see how you have this set up.

Thanks!

Hi ! Ok here is the link:

(for now the content targeted for one screen is "CH - Wellness@work")

It looks like there are three schedules in there - photo du jour, news feed, instagram - and that these are the ones where the timeline is for set to Always - are these the presentations you are referring to regarding scheduling management?

There are around 15 schedules in there. But let's say I want to display "photo du jour" only on one screen. What happens for the other screen. It seems to be black screen during the display of the content on the other screen. Is there a way to skip this step in order to avoid black screen to show the next presentation. It induces a shift between the displays on screens but it is not really a problem for my case.

Betrand,

In this case you would need two separate schedules. Unfortunately at this time you cannot go in and tell a schedule item to be fed to a particular display. The entire schedule needs to be sent to the display.

We do appreciate the feedback, however. I can certainly see in your use case why such a functionality would be useful. Hopefully as we get more and more users chiming in on this we can perhaps make plans to integrate this.

Thanks!
