I have a Win7 PC and two monitors connected to it, one for maintenance and the other to display the RV Presentation [building directory board], when I start the Presentation I need to specify what monitor to run it in, and it works perfectly fine until a Windows upgrade pop up, a system pop up [like antivirus message], Chrome message or a computer restart happens then i either loose the Presentation from the second screen or it start again in the other screen, the one for maintenance [in a different room and another floor of the building].
question!
is there a way to create a Script to make the Presentation start after certain service stop and/or choose what screen to use?
i have changed the Windows update to never but still MS pushes some anyways and my machine restart over night and there it is...!
i a have also changed the screen to main but that moves the task bar and icons to the Building Lobby screen [can't have that]
i can work on a batch file to restart RV properly anytime it needs to but i thought i could get some help with the batch file's details..
Thanks!

Hi Sogit,

First off, which version of Rise Player are you running? If you're running from the latest installer at help.risevision.com/user/create-a-display there should be a java process that automatically restarts Windows after a few moments of it being closed.

Thanks Blake,
is this correct? i think it is RV version 2016.03.09.10.00
the Player Browser is at "Auto Upgrade" if that helps.
i went to the https://help.risevision.com/user/create-a-display location but i don't see the java process
i also checked Display, Schedule, Settings and Network but i could find anything about it.

sorry for my ignorance but i am still learning the RV functionalities.
please help!

Hi SogIt,
When you see a new item come up which stops Rise Player, can you please check in Task Manager that there are Chrome/Java processes still running? Also, which Windows version are you currently using?

Thanks,
Hannah

Hi Suares,
well, i stopped Windows, my antivirus and java updates for popping up every time and i made my 2nd monitor to be the 1st, none of that is productive for me since the first monitor is one floor below mine [lobby] but at least the RV starts in the right monitor, if it needs to restart for any reason, and so far nothing has stopped it yet. now in order to use the taskbar i need to mess with the display's main and second place...
i wish RV add the option to choose displays but i guess i already red the why it does not do that...
Thanks!
