Need a document download manager to work with a chromebox touchscreen display - can I use rise vision to help implement?

We are exploring installing a touchscreen kiosk at a trade show. The kiosk uses Chromebox. We want to use it to allow users to put documents in a shopping cart and email it to themselves for download when they return home. We figured out how to do this interaction with a WordPress Plugin, but now it has been recommended that we load the site to the Chromebox unit in the Kiosk so that we don't have to rely on an Internet connection for interactivity. (We will still need internet to email obviously.)  Can the Rise system be used for this purpose?  I watched the webinar, but I am still unsure.

Hi Lark, given that you are using WP for your site I can't see how you can have it local as you need all of the server side scripting to serve up WP, unless you create a stand alone web server and make that your kiosk, which would be difficult with ChromeOS from what I know... I like the concept for what you are going after but I am not sure WP can do it. Curious as to what others think? Thanks!
