Hi Katie,

Do you happen to know the specs of the Computer that is running the Presentation?

Regarding the videos not playing on the Display, can you check to ensure that the Distribution and Timeline for the Placeholder (and Video Item if there are multiple items in the Placeholder) are set to All and Always, respectively? If either of these settings are not configured correctly, it can cause items not to show on a Display.

If you're still having difficulty with the videos, can you let us know how they were encoded? Was it done using Firefogg, or another process?

Thanks.

Its a cenique player. And they were encoded with a free online encoder but they worked in the previews.

Do you happen to know the version of Android that is on them?

The version of Android can play a role in the playback of WebM videos. If your Android is using KitKat, then from what I understand you should be able to use our Video Item. If you're on something a little older, say 4.2.2, William (Scott's Digital signage) has his own Video Gadget that he has used. You can try getting a hold of him via support@scottsdigitalsignage.com.

Thanks.

Found out some additional information. You are using Android 4.2.2 from what I am reading. You also need to use Cenique's Video Gadget in order to show the videos. You can find additional information about this here.

Thanks.

Hi Katie,

Thanks for your recent purchase of the Cenique C410 Android Media Player. Regarding running videos on the Cenique Android devices, we have developed the Cenique HD Video Gadget, available in Rise Vision that allows MP4 files to run in a placeholder.

You can find several FAQs in our Knowledgebase with details on this gadget, by searching on 'video' (http://ava.cenique.com/support/upload...). This specific FAQ link may be most helpful: http://ava.cenique.com/support/upload...

A Rise Vision Reference Guide available on our Support page (http://ava.cenique.com/support/upload...) provides instructions for using this gadget while creating Rise Presentations.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to email us at support@cenique.com

Thanks, Rod

I am trying to setup a new location with some video content. When I do I get a white screen where the content is to be played. After reading the above I see I need to use a gadget but none of the help links are working. I have a new cenique 110. Please help. Thank you.

Hi David - the video gadget is now available in the Rise store:
https://store.risevision.com/#/produc...

You should set the video to cache locally.

I was able to find some information on the net that has helped me set the gadget up. I have a 30 sec video looping with some 15 sec stills now throughout the loop there is black spots like its blinking. Any Ideas?

Hello David,

If you have a Cenique media player and are using the Cenique Video Gadget, please email us at: support@cenique.com

In your email please confirm, when you say there are black spots, are you saying the screen is black momentarily between the video and the images?

Thanks
