My Rise Player on Nexus Player

I just got an email today that My Rise Player app has been approved by google to be on Android TV devices. This means that in the next year if more Android Tv boxes like the nexus player or TVS with Android tv comes out, you will be able to download My Rise Player on it. It took some work to get it up and some headache from google to get it approved but its ready to go. 

The interface and everything is the same for the exception of some text size differences and no security button. If you had an android device with My Rise Player then it should be familiar. Also the UI thats on the Android TV will go on the Amazon Fire TV sticks as well, but thats in the next update for that. 

Now to get the app it probably will be placed on the store through a computer before it shows up on the store on the device. I have seen several apps that dont show on the store on the device but yet can be downloaded from the playstore on the computer. I dont know when it will show on the device so beware of this. 

Anyway i wanted to thank Rise and there crew for changing the loading spinner. This change helped me out and got the app approved. Anyway Thanks and have a great Holiday Season everyone.

First, try updating webview from the store if there is an update. Webview updates through the store so if it's on a lower version then updating it might fix the issues. If it's been updated, then make a test display with your schedule and send it to support@scottsdigitalsignage.com so that I can test it on my nexus player.

Welcome, I want to let the community know if your using the nexus player with a weather widget, then use custom address. Geolocations don't work on the nexus player. :)
