Today i have uploaded a new version of the My Rise Player Test app. It will be a few hours before it shows up but we wanted to let everyone know we have updated the test app. This app was made for those having webview issues with older android devices. We have also renamed the test app as My Rise Player Chrome Edition so if your searching for it then thats the name for it.

As far as the updates.
We are using a chrome v43 library. This will allow older devices keep current with all the new changes with widgets. All widgets should work with this update.

We have eliminated the need for the 10 backspace requirement. Its now just one backspace and your in the main menu or security menu.

For touch screens,  there is a new swipe left to right feature that has been added, This allows techs to swipe left to right to get into the menu. It will go to security if enabled.

As far as devices.
We tested on all devices and found only one issue. If your using amlogic that has a firmware number below 111k4. You will need to update to that or higher. The reason is that the sdk that the firmware was built on had video issues. We had three devices that had video issues with it until we updated the firmware to 111k4 and above.

Other than that Enjoy :)

Hi, I have a little OT question.
I am running 6 android computers with My rise player (not chrome edition) and 2 of my displays seems to go offline for unknown reasons. I tried to reinstall the app and it worked for some time but ended up the same. When i check my display list on Rise Vision the not working displays have another player version than the working ones. I don't remember doing anything different with these computers so how come it seems something is not updating? How can it be fixed?

Thanks in advance.

You need to be logged into the play store for the updates to be applied. If the devices have issues with the play store or are not logged into the play store then you will not get any updates. Google doesn't allow updates unless you are logged into play store. I would check that first to see if thats the case.
