I tried a search but couldn't come up with a solution. First of all, I'm new to RiseVision. I'm doing some test runs on android phones and tablets. (Not even sure if RiseVision works with the mobile devices) All the images shows up but not mp4 videos. TIA

Christiaan,

What exactly are you trying to do with your mobile device? Are you editing your Rise Vision account, or trying to use a mobile device as a display?

I will let you know that only .webm video files are officially supported on Rise Vision.

Thanks Blake. Yes, I was trying to use it as a display. The idea is, is to let customers view a quick demo on their mobile devices.Thank you for the update on the video format. I will switch the videos to .webm -- not sure if that was the problem but I will report back.

Christiaan,

We don't have any players for mobile devices. You may try one of Scott's Digital Signage's products. They are developed for Android media players, but may be applicable to your situation.

Thanks, Blake! In other words my demo will play on the player you suggested above?

Hey Blake i will say that our app will work but the layout might not be configured for phones. We intended the app to be used only for tablets or mini PC. We didn't want to get into making multiple layouts for all the phones so we only support tablets and mini ps. It probably will work but the layout for properties and settings might not be great on a phone. Thanks

I'm using Scott's digital signage app but the webm doesn't play on a tablet or a phone either.

Use the android html5 widget. The new rise widget has issues at the moment with android. I'm working on a new version of the app that uses chromium 43 as a library that should work with the widget. I'm just waiting on an update to the viewer from rise.

In the content store. When you add a placeholder, there is an option for content. Click that and you get all the newer widgets. The android html5 should be there.
