Can I create a mp3 list (i.E.deeplinks to my - local - server) that is playing during a complete schedule and repeating?
All former searches didn't match any results... :)
Thanks for any suggestions, I still even don't know how to play a single mp3 file in a presentation...

regards,
Boerns.

Marko,

You can do this using the Video Widget. Simply add the Video Widget, use a Custom URL, and enter the link to your MP3 file. Works like a charm :)

I I don't know if a way to create an mp3 list, but at least that way you can get your MP3's playing in your Presentation.

Let me know how you make out!

And just to clarify on my answer above, you would have to add the Widget to a Presentation, and play that Presentation in a Schedule.

Thanks!

Thx Robb for the hints and the friendly chat tonight, I'd like to promote the idea of an option to add a background audio bed to a complete schedule playing along using a list of deeplinked or local hosted mp3's. Trying to understand the architechture of RV, this maybe could be realized as a kind of container arround a schedule. Will I get through to the developers? :) :) ;)

How do other users manage audio within and out of presentations?
Thanks for every advice :)

best regards,
Boerns.

I'll hit up Darius about this conversation. I bet he would have some interesting points!

I was thinking about that too, but there is really no need for us to use this feature, so I did not bother. Perhaps, if needed, I would use YouTube playlist (hidden in the background) for the following reasons:

- abundance of content
- easy to use with Rise Vision
- easy to manage from YT side
- less likely to violate some copyrights laws

But it can be easily done with the Custom HTML or Web Page widgets.

Here is some reading: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html5_audio.asp

And I would use autoplay & loop options w/o controls: "<audio autoplay loop ></audio>"
