I'm sure this has probably been asked and answered before, But I have serched the forum but only seem to be able to find problems with mouse still visible,

what I would like is to open a web page then login to my account and then to keep the page active by an automated mouse click, the page that I need to keep active is a status page, but it times out after a given time, but if a mouse click is detected it keeps the session active, I know under windows there is a free app called mouse clicks, is there such an app for the Pi running Raspbian and RiseVision
any help greatly received

I'm not aware of an application that will take care of that for the Pi.  If happens to know one, please let us know.

Thanks.

Slightly different question, is there a way to manually restart the rise player on a Pi after you have Ctrl +F4 to close it ?

I've not tried xdotool.  It sounds like it would be what you're looking for based on what I've read. If you try it, please let us know how it works out.

To manually restart the Pi, open a Terminal Window and type sudo ./rvplayer/rvplayer /S

Run sudo ./rvplayer/rvplayer to install the pi player
and on prompt "Rise Vision Player run automatically when this computer starts", choose "No" so player doesn't restart automatically on computer start.
