Recently, we had an issue where images were not loading and giving an error message. Now I have a video doing the same thing.

This video only plays on this display and has been playing for over a month without issues, now we get an error saying "Sorry, there was a problem playing the video from Storage".

Nothing has changed on this display since the video was posted. I have restarted the presentation several times and rebooted the machine a couple as well. The video will play once, then it won't play anymore.

Other videos on other displays are working fine.

Glen,

Please provide me with a preview link to the presentation in question, as well as the name of the video.

Thanks.

Glen,

I'm not certain there. I do know I've replicated this presentation on two of my displays and the video loaded with no issue. One of my displays is using the Rise Windows Player, and the other is the Rise Player Chrome Application.

I will talk to IT when they are back tomorrow about upgrading to the latest player and see if that will fix the issue. I will keep you posted.

One of our IT Guys is on vacation and a Windows Update on Wed has been causing chaos. He probably won't get to this until next week...

Glen,

It sounds like this may have been caused by the Video Widget issue that we confronted in your newest thread. Once we push out the update for the Video Widget tomorrow, you shouldn't have this issue.

Could you please confirm back here once this has been validated? Thanks!

We are still having issues with this video. The machine it was on was just reformatted last week and has latest versions of everything installed, including the RV Windows Player.

I put the presentation on another display and it plays fine, but we continue to get the error about incorrect encoding (Despite working before and playing on another screen)

The machine is an Intel NUC with Windows 7.

Again, it was playing fine for over a month without issue on that same unit.

Glen,

So, I watched my local schedule all morning and the videos assigned played when they should played, and halted playing when they should halt. This looks like a very specific problem with your setup.

Could I get you to delete the Rise Player from that machine, and reinstall?

It will have to be two machines and it's happening on both units. I will talk to IT about this.

Appears these machines were on the Chrome Player. I updated one today to the Windows version and it seems to be doing OK. I will check again tomorrow and if everything is OK, then I will update the other as well.
