Hi,

i have some suggestions for you:

1) With older editor it was more simple to move a content in playlist simply dragging it to the right position. Now, with the newest editor, it's not possible and if you have to move a content along hundreds of contents it takes a lot of time. Can you add the same feature like in older editor?

2) Even for creation of new content, in older editor you can choose where to create it now you are forced to create it in last position and then, you have to move it click by click where you want it to stay.

3) I cannot find the widget for adding a presentation inside a placeholder. Did you remove it?

Do you think you can re-add this feature?

Thanks

Hi Monti,

Just wanted to confirm that I've understood this correctly:

For #1, when you add a playlist of Content inside a Placeholder, you can drag all of it by dragging that particular Placeholder one by one and this happens in the new and also classic Editor. If you create a new Placeholder for each Content type, yes this will involve dragging each Placeholder to change its position. But if you are working with a lot of Placeholders, this might take a bit of time since currently the option is to drag them individually. I like to name each Placeholder to know exactly which content is being dragged in case they are layered on top of each other or they are close together. But you may want to see an option to drag a group of Placeholders if that is correct?

For #2, in the new Editor a new Placeholder (by default) will be located on the top right and you do need to drag it to the correct position. In the classic Editor, a new Placeholder is placed in the centre by default and would require to be repositioned also. It would be good to see what others think of the new positioning .

And yes, for #3 we do not support embedded presentations in the new Editor.

Let me know what you think of the above!

Thanks

No, both #1 and #2 i wasn't referring to placeholder, but to placeholder's content... I.e. I have 1 placeholder in wich i have 300 image widget (every image widget lasts 10 seconds). When i create a new content (with green button in image) the editor will add it to 301 by default (and there is no way to change this in new editor). And if you want to put him in first position you will have to click a lot of time on the arrow on the left... In the classic editor you can choose where to add it. And if you want to move it lower or upper you can drag it. Is there any way to do this even in this new version of the editor?

Thanks for the clarification MontiDaunti, I see what you mean now.

To illustrate in the new Editor you can only use arrows:

In the classic Editor you can drag/drop:

I've forwarded this thread on as an idea for the Apps team.

Yes, i think that drag and drop is a very useful feature... and even to add a new content directly in a specified position (I.E. adding it just above the selected content). All features that we had in classic editor. Thanks a lot

Hi there,

I was sure I answered this last week, but maybe that was another conversation. I wanted to let you know that Drag and Drop functionality is indeed in the new Editor at https://apps.risevision.com.

Thanks!
