Thomas, I used yo make my own very basic Android app that was playing content from the memory card inserted into the same device. Basically, I was making a very basic HTML page with an Iframe that was pulling the content via "scr=xxxxx" from an SD card. Then I was packing an app with online PhoneGap tool (requires GitHub), installing it on my device and making it start with the device using StartUp manager. Quite easy when you get the hang of this process.

Hey Darius, thanks a lot for your answer. So I ́m no technican and since years I ́m looking for the right solution to display art and at the moment I bought for lot of money signature displays with android and Wifi- I mean it works but no I need a less expensive solution. I Cafe wants to screen my art and they dont want to spend 800 Dollars for a monitor. So As i understand you can control the device with your mobile? So i have let developed an app which works ith android so. Would it be possible to install my app to download the content and to play it in a loop? Darius thanks a lot for your help! Greetings from Berlin. Thomas

Thomas, sounds like you are looking for a overly complicated solution for a simple problem. You can play videos stored on you computer in a loop with Windows Media Player in Full Screen... it is easy as that. Anyways, Rise Vision is all about working in the cloud. This is why I would recommend simply creating your YouTube playlist and have Rise Vision play it using YouTube Widget. Also, Android devices can be not-so-friendly when it comes to playing videos. I am not familiar with the latest models, so I hope somebody with more Android experience will advice you on this. I, personally, would go with Windows device. Also, Thomas, you should provide more information about how do you want to do this; how many displays, what size etc. Although I am European (Lithuanian) too, but this time greetings from USA!

Hi Darius, maybe the solution is easier than i expect- BUT! I need an Monitor which includes a player wifi and a player which is capable of seamless!!!! loop without any black gab. My app downloads the artcontent and plays it in a loop - no stream: youtubechannels are kind of cheap when it comes to art. Of course at the moment I use youtube for featurevideos but my backendvideos are high end and dont want to be played with any interruption :)look at my side: www.cinegrafix.eu than you get an impression of my future project. (it ́s under construction) So you know what i mean- ths quality and the seamless loop of hd movies make the difference- I want to switch on the device and the last artloop is going to be played. sound simple but at the end it ́s complicated :) so what would you suggest? All the best

Thomas, some very interesting stuff there! Anyways, Rise Vision software cannot play something that was saved on a locally on a media player. If you do not like YouTube option, than there is something I like doing, especially for loops. I create HTML file that has embedded video and set it to loop. Again, both HTML and video files MUST be saved online and I strongly recommend Rise Vision Storage for this, but you can save them some place else. Next, you pull the file to RV app. Here is an example of looping video I have embedded exactly this way (give it few seconds to pre-load all the files): http://preview.risevision.com/?type=p...

I also must say that RV can play Full HD videos without any problem.

Thomas, I am sorry man, Rise needs reliable Internet connection. There is no way around it. How about the tethering from a cellular phone with a data plan, or even sign up for data service and get the HotSpot device? Would you consider that?
