Manually refresh webpage widgets in multipage presentations

I'm making a multipage presentation, with buttons to change between the different pages. Some of the pages have a webpage widget that is meant to be interactive and users can click on links within the widget.

I have it so that it automatically refreshes to the original site every 5 minutes, but users expect to be able to click the button again to be taken to the original webpage in the widget.

Is it possible to manually refresh a widget on clicking a button?

Here is a demo version of the presentation I'm working on: http://preview.risevision.com/?type=presentation&id=b454c4da-7138-44c2-8a1d-cca43b62d1b0
(I hope the link works)

Thank you for your help!

Iris,

That's a very cool looking Presentation!

Just out of curiosity, did you take a look at our help files for multipage Presentations? I wonder if you can find something to answer your question in there: https://help.risevision.com/developer/presentations/multi-page/multi-page-presentations

Let us know how you make out!

I did find something about pausing and playing Widgets, but it didn't seem to have any effect.

However, just now I found this page: https://help.risevision.com/developer/widget-api/play-pause-stop so I'll try following this page and see if it works.

Thanks!

Iris,

Perhaps one of our content template examples has something that may help? Have you taken a look at the available templates? Maybe the UI Kit: https://store.risevision.com/product/198/digital-signage-ui-kit?

The template looks awesome, but unfortunately it doesn't seem to have any code that deal with webpage widgets.

I've looked at other templates in the gallery as well, but none of them seem to have code for interactivity built in either.

Iris, so it is possible and I have made this little interactive directory template which has it (JS) at the end of index.html. I have it set refresh to 1min, but you can change it you whatever you need it to be. http://prodo.us/img/presentations/idt-pre/idt.html

Darius, this is an awesome template! Thank you so much for sharing!

My problem is that I need to be able to manually refresh a web page widget, but I might be able to figure out something based on your code!

Thank you for your help!
