Management of many displays in one company

Here at the American Cancer Society, we have our world headquarters in Atlanta where we have 6 players. We also have local offices all around the nation, as well as Hope Lodge properties. So far, I've got a total of about 15 players out in the field and its working quite well. I've set up each office with its own display, which I manage through the web remotely. Each office/display also has its own presentation with its own content. There is one thing that they all have in-common and that's a presentation containing a list of videos that are stored on Rise storage.

Where they get 'localized' is through a calendar presentation and a slideshow presentation. Each of those are specific to each location, in addition to the videos. I see on the horizon the potential to have a LOTS of individual players running LOTS of individual, localized presentations and that could get hairy. I'm just one guy and there are only so many hours in a day. 

Ideally, I'd set up each location as a sub-company, and let them pay the fee for the widget out of their own budget, but since I can't share the Rise storage between them - that rules it out. ( should be mentioned that all the players are/will be from the same company...) Is there a way to copy/paste a 'master presentation' down to a sub-company, and have that sub-company's presentation access Rise storage under the parent company? Then I could just copy/paste the main video presentation into each sub company, and let the individual locations manage their own Google calendars, and the fees associated with any widgets they want. 

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks for that very detailed rundown Dan!

I think that you can indeed complete this, with one caveat that I will mention at the end of the steps...just to keep you riveted!

1. In the Parent Company, open the Presentation Properties by clicking the Gear icon, and check the "Share this Presentation as a template with your Sub-Companies" checkbox:

2. Save and publish that Presentation. Now, your Sub Companies can add it from the "Shared Templates" section in their Companies:

Now for the caveat..any changes you make to that Presentation will NOT be updated in the copies that are made of it. The best way to think of it is as a Microsoft Word document. You update the doc, and send a copy to someone. That copy you sent doesn't get updated with any changes you make. They can update it all they want, but none of your updates will be applied to it.

The only way to get the latest version of the master Presentation again, would be to create another copy of the Presentation after you made any modifications to it.
