Login Content Not Saving/Can't Find "Start Player" Button

Today on our display, I uninstalled an old 32-bit version of the player and installed the current (as of 6/3/2016) 64-bit version of the player (running on Windows 7 64-bit). I'm having two issues now.
  1. There used to be a "Start Rise Vision Player" option in the Start Menu, which would allow the player to simply start again. It appears to be gone now?
  2. On my presentation, I have several HTML widgets which go to a site that requires being logged into (one time thing). In previous versions, the player would keep me logged into those sites, but now everytime I restart the player, I have to re-login again.

Hi there Kyle,


The Start Rise Vision Player is now the "Restart Rise Vision Player" and will restart the entire Installation process. You can do this if you want to change the Display ID.

You can always get to the Start Rise Vision Player link from the Startup folder as long as you selected that option when the machine restarts, and you will see that the link is uses the "unattended" flag, so it will start the Player without any need for user intervention.

Regarding your second point, our last release of the Player deletes the browser history every time the Player is restarted.

Thank you Robb! I do love Rise Vision, but please please please add the option at least (to save browser data/history/cookies).

Hey Robb, any word on the player being able to save browser history? It's really causing problems even over the past (not even) week for all our players :(
