Hello, I have a jpeg 1920x1280 and put it in the presentation. It displays but is large and needs scrolling to view entire image.  When displayed on output display (1280x768) it only shows portion of display.  I have tried to resize jpeg as well as try many different resolutions all without success.  Not sure how but a few months ago I was able to make it work and now I cannot.  Thanks in advance for any help.

If you're using the Image Item, there's an option to automatically scale the image to fit in the Placeohlder.  If you're adding it with a different method, please let us know.

Thanks.

Hi Neal, thanks for the reply.  I have tried the scaling option and it does not change the image size.  Not sure what my options are or how I was able to accomplish this before.  Thanks for any ideas.

Just to be on the safe side. By default Presentations do not scale to fit different resolutions. If your Presentation (and the placeholder within it) are 1920x1080, then when you place it on a screen that is 1280x768, a portion of the Presentation won't fit.

You can change the Presentation to be the appropriate size by clicking on the Gear Icon near the upper right corner and changing the resolution via the dropdown.  You'll then need to modify the Placeholders to match.

A different solution would be to create a Fluid Presentation.  Just be aware that not everything (content that contains text, for example) will scale to fit.

Thanks.

Thanks Neal.  When I tried that approach,no matter what resolution I set the presentation to would not allow the full image to display.  It would cut off the last half or third of the image.  I almost wonder if there is something I should do with the jpeg before uploading it but everything I tried in the last few days doesnt work.  Thanks again for your time.

The problem may be the fact that the ratio of height vs width of the original image doesn't exactly match the Display. The only way to correct for that would be to modify (crop) the image so it has the correct proportions.
