Issues with Rise Vision Media Players (Linux)- blank screen\possible graphics issue

We have a total of 5x Rise Vision media players (Linux).
I setup the first unit with no problems, and it's mostly been working like a champ.
I went to setup the next 2x units yesterday and ran into some issues.
It seems like the units are working sporadically.

Specifically, after powering them on, connecting to WLAN, changing resolution and rotation, and using activation code, I see the displays in the dashboard, but the output on the actual display is sometimes blank\black, sometimes half white\half black, and other times it displays the presentation just fine.
I thought it may just be a single unit, but we have tried setting up 3x other units and get similar results.
I am wondering if there may be a possible issue with display driver?
The unit appears to be running ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

I went with the Rise Vision players, even though more expensive than most, because I wanted them to be rock solid- this does not appear to be the case as of right now unfortunately.
I am hoping that you guys might be able to provide some assistance\guidance as these players were purchased\configured by you.
Management likes the single, working display, and was excited to get the other 4x units up and running ASAP.

Any, and all, assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Chris,

The first step would be to check the scheduling of your displays. Make sure All widget/gadgets are set to play on the correct display.

After that, you try out our Chrome App Player on these displays. You can find information regarding installation of these players at www.risevision.com/player.

I currently only have 1 schedule, with all displays assigned to it.
I know that the functionality, of that, is working as when I have been able to get it to display\run the presentation, this is the content is displays.
My concern is, when the unit boots up, I would expect to see the ubuntu desktop (prior to player app running), correct? This is not the case- seeing black\blank screen.
Sometimes we can move the mouse and see just the mouse cursor on screen.
I try closing the player app (Alt F4), but that does not appear do anything either.
We have tried changing out the HDMI cables, displays, media players, etc., and seem to be coming across the same symptoms.

Chris,

These units definitely don't sound like they're working as intended, however we haven't seen this issue reported on any other media players sent out.

Can you try closing the player with Control+W?

Chris,

Can you please email me at support@risevision.com? I would like to confirm some details with your account, versions of your media player, and image version on the media player. I feel it would be better to communicate directly.

Thanks!
