I am going to setup a lot of displays using the "Claim ID" but it would be helpful if I could get a list of all the displays in advance, before they are used, or get some additional information like the MAC address on the device to associate with the Display ID. I know I can pretty quickly scan the MAC address on the display. Does anyone have any tips on getting these setup in bulk?

Biagio,

Instead of using the Claim ID, you could instead set up all the Displays previous to going to install them. Just go to https://apps.risevision.com, and on the Displays page, add all your different Displays, with the appropriate names you want to give them. If you wanted to, at this time you could assign them to a Schedule as well. Record the Display ID's for each Display, and when you are installing the Rise Vision Player on the Display, use the appropriate Display ID.

Would that work?

I am going to be working with a large number of displays and I want to be able to schedule what shows up on them without having to manually connect each display. I do have a spreadsheet though of the devices (with serial numbers and MAC addresses).

Is there a way to either (a) predict what the Display IDs will be in advance? Or, once the display is registered, is there a way to use the command line to check what the Display ID is (like if I remoted into a display)?

In the documentation, it looks like there is an INI file, that might help. Also, I would have the IP number of the devices.

No, there is no way to predict a Display ID in advance. Those are randomly generated. You can certainly check on the Display ID after you have used the Claim ID to set up a Display, you can view the RiseDisplayNetworkII.ini file, which contains the Display ID. Information on this page explains where that file is: https://risevision.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000860926-Displays.

I hope that helps!

Why do not simply create displays ahead of the time for each location. Get ID # and put them into the spreadsheet together with player's MAC addresses; send players out with their ID # written or already applied in RV player app.

Could also be done remotely after player was connected to the Internet.
