Hi there:

Im kind of new.  I am using the html web view widget to create a presentation. I am trying to see if there is a way to add a presentation controller to advance to the next slide instead of the timer? "Present until done" doesnt seem to do anything.  The arrow keys do not seem to control going next and back either.

Thanks,
david

HI there David,

To confirm, I think you mean you are using HTML View in the Editor to view your Presentation, is that correct?

Any chance you can send a link to your Presentation to support@risevision.com so we can try to determine the issue?

Thanks!
Hi Robb:

Confirmed,its an html view.

The link to the presentation is here:

http://preview.risevision.com/?type=presentation&id=f47fa1fe-aa52-4259-8867-311456489580

There is not an issue, per se, I just wish to control the presentation myself to go next and back without a timer, and wanted to know if this is an option?

Thanks,
David

David, there is no option for that, but it can be done with custom HTML.

I would use jQuery for that. You can do it two ways: as an external webpage and use the widget to pull it to your presentation or you can build it within the RV presentation's HTML code (I would use this option). Basically, build the presentation with jQuery's 'page' markup for each slide. Add navigation. Paste the code into the presentations HTML when in HTML view. Go to design view and add placeholders for each 'page'. Go back to HTML view and move the added placeholders (because they are gonna be created at the bottom, outside your slides (pages) to each page. back to design view and add the desired content to each placeholder. You can also add jQuery transition effects between slides.

These are dynamic server side pages, I can't put the code in an html page...

Do you have any other suggestions?

Thanks,
David

David, I am talking about the code in the RV editor, not some other pages... What r u using to display those pages? The webpage widgets I suppose. There is nothing different from that in what i proposed; therefore it is going to work. Alll that messing with jQuery in the RV HTML code is to create slides (pages - in jQuery language) and manual controls for you. Brutal example that proves the concept in this discussion https://community.risevision.com/rise_vision_inc/topics/widgets-do-not-work-with-merged-html (click anywhere on presentation to show you the next page, which in your case could be next slide; the red box is RV placeholder with the text widget in it).

David,

Thanks for sending that link! I think what would help here would be to change the PUD option from those Widgets to maybe 60 seconds. This way, it shows that first webpage for 60 seconds, then the second one for 60 seconds. You can choose any duration you want, I just selected 60 seconds as an example:

Do that by clicking on the PUD duration box, and entering a different value in seconds.

Let me know if that will work for you!
