Hey STI Marcom,

We don't have a this day in history Gadget but what you could try is the RSS Widget and then search for a This Day in History RSS feed. I found this one after a quick Google search.

Thanks!

Did you put this in a widget? It doesn't look very good. Perhaps I'm doing it incorrectly. Is there an RSS Widget tutorial?

I didn't try those two out. But I tried out this one  (http://www.infoplease.com/rss/dayinhistory.rss) and it looked like this (http://preview.risevision.com/?type=presentation&id=2549490b-a20d-40a8-b9bd-7f16713ee4f5&sho...) With a little styling I'm sure it could be made to look nice.  We currently have no tutorials for the RSS Widget.

Thanks!

I think the problem is, with the first suggestion, I can't find a link to the XML. It is just the web page. When I use it to fill out the URL in the RSS Widget, all I get is a partial list of items.

Ah yeah I just realized that, sometimes this trick works, however I'm not sure if it will work on the links in my original post.

I'm commenting for everyone's benefit: That trick does not work.

However, I appreciate you posting it, because it might work on other sites and it affords me more opportunities.

Or you can create a calendar and fill it in with the facts you sorted out yourself.

These are all good ideas :)
You can also create your own RSS feed as well with your own events timeline. Like if you have a Wordpress blog, generate an RSS feed off it then use the RSS Widget.
