HI

I am sorry if this question is too "novice" but i really need to ask it. Is the video in the presentation below cached or it is downloaded each time it is played? With other words, after starting the presentation, if i disconnect the internet, will the video continue to play? It is used with and Android box MXIII with Android 4.4.2

Thanks in advance.

If your using my rise player version 3.0 and greater it should download the file and play from the device. it should keep playing without Internet. If the device turns off it will however need Internet access to reconnect to rise again. There will be a waiting on Internet screen if this happens. On a side note amlogic devices like the one you have might have issues with the none transition in the placeholder. It sometimes keeps the video blank or hidden in rotation. Hope this helps.

I understand that video files are kept in cache on the player.
I understand that when a device is rebooted it needs an Internet connection to restart Rise Vision.
However, one questions remains, are the video still in cache after a reboot or is the cache linked to the session ?

Xavier,

For players running Rise Player (Windows, Chrome OS, Ubuntu, OS X) if videos are actively displayed, they will remain in cache until they are no longer actively displayed for 7 days.
