We recently installed a few Intel Compute Sticks at our location. These devices are currently working. But, when I view the "Display" report, these devices show as "Offline." We have some Chrome Boxes which appear to have accurate statuses in this report. Do you know what is causing out Compute Sticks to show as "Offline?"

Local WiFi network is the cause.

Better modem/router and/or a dedicated WiFi channel just for digital signage devices. That still mign not solve the problem becasue sticks have weak built-in single-band(?) WiFi adapter. Also, and those are cheaper options, get external WiFi adapter with antenna such as this: https://www.amazon.com/OURLINK-600Mbps-802-11ac-Wireless-10-6-10-12-4/dp/B018TX8IDA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UT... For that to work you also gonna need this: https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-SuperSpeed-Gigabit-Ethernet/dp/B01J6583NK/ref=sr_1_4?s=electron... (plug it in stick's USB2 port... kinda important!). Then using this last item you can actually use the Ethernet cable instead of WiFi, which is always the best option for connectivity (you do not need antene anymore if using Ethernet connection).

Hi Jefferson,

Please see our article on this problem here. The article gives some solutions to common problems. In particular, I would verify that the local network requirements are satisfied.
