Insert GRUB modification (and other things) in new Installer release

Hi, i want to suggest some ideas to make rise vision installation even easier... When i installed player before i made a list of settings that i had to do manually to make it work perfectly. I will write them down:

- Set player to autostart (already did)

- Deactivate screen poweroff, lock and password request (already did)

- Modify GRUB adding "GRUB_RECORDFAIL_TIMEOUT=1" line to avoid that minipc stuck on grub window when there is a powerfailure or a crash. (STILL TO DO)

- Insert the chance to install Noip software and autostart it (i don't know if it's possible to do for you). It is necessary to people who use dynamic ip and want to use remote control. (still to do)

- Configure a script to autorestart player if it close (already did)

- Disable apport (already did)

- Disable update notification (already did)

I think anyways that the most useful thing for everyone is grub modification, because noip is not used by everyone, but even noip could be a good thing.

Thanks

Thanks for the ideas. I'll pass these requests on to our delivery team!

As always, if other members would like to see these changes implemented, please +1 and comment on this thread!

Good afternoon!

We looked back at prior conversations with our delivery team and discovered that this has already been discussed!

We won't be implementing an automated change to GRUB/bootloader. It's just too large of a risk to automate something like that.
