What we did last week:

  • Player reliability is up from 97% to 98% and we are currently working to get it to at least 99%.

  • We are working through October to rewrite the application that renders content on the Display to reduce the overhead that it consumes and have full test coverage for it to make sure that future releases do not inadvertently introduce problems.

  • Delivery team is continuing with the new and improved Player messaging system that will include the ability to get Display Screenshots to support the above user interface.

  • Open defects are holding at 7 across our 60 active projects on GitHub. Zero open defects is the goal.

  • The Content team fixed an issue with the Web Page Widget, and continued work on a new Rise Cache. For those using the Google Spreadsheet Widget please note that we expect to release a fix for an issue that prevents data from showing next week.

  • The creative team has been working on some unique designs for client’s displays for donor recognition and industry partnership programs. We also added a new blog post on Color Theory with some great tips on how to maximise the use of color in your displays.

Important reminder: As of September 1st, support for legacy versions of Rise Player is discontinued. This announcement goes over how to determine the version you are on, and how to upgrade.
