What we did last week:

  • Player reliability decreased from 98% to 97% and the target is at least 99%. CRAP! We may have found issues where we are failing with certain proxy setups and we are pursuing now.

  • Work is continuing on the Viewer (application that renders content on the Display) rewrite through October. The goal of the project is to reduce the overhead that the application consumes, have complete test coverage, and full reliability logging, to increase Player reliability to at least 99%.

  • Delivery team is continuing with the new and improved Player messaging system that will include the ability to get Display Screenshots to support the above user interface.

  • Open defects dropped from 8 across our 60 active projects on GitHub to 6. We are going in the right direction. Zero open defects is the goal.

  • Content team fixed an issue with the Spreadsheet Widget, and continued work on the new Rise Cache which we are on track to release this month. We investigated an issue some Users reported with images not showing in their Presentation after we deployed an update to the Image Widget. Here is what we found. We’ll be re-deploying that update today.

  • Creative team has been working on a process improvement epic so that we can deliver a higher quality of work more quickly.
