Hello everyone!

We want to keep our users informed of what we delivered last week, and what we’ll be doing this coming week! You can look forward to these posts every Monday.

Here’s what we delivered last week:

  • We started deploying Chrome 48 to all Players, to resolve the Chrome out of date message reported by some Users

  • We deployed a new Rise Vision Player that corrects the issue of the Restart Player button at apps.risevision.com/displays not working as expected

  • We fixed some issues with our Installer, primarily the installer taking up 100% disk usage during the installation process on Windows 10, and now it will show an error message when trying to run as Sudo on Ubuntu 14.04

  • Released the new RSS Widget that will be replacing the RSS Gadget. If you missed that update you can check it out here.

  • We released a new Template for Elementary Education

  • We posted a few articles showing how you can use JavaScript to enhance your digital signage

What we are working on this week:

  • Continuing the Chrome 48 and updated Rise Player deployment so it reaches all users by the end of the week.

  • Rise Player improvements to make the installation process easier and more reliable

  • Another Education Presentation template, as well as 1 or 2 Employee Communication templates.

  • More articles on different creative ways to build your Presentations.

  • We’ve updated our Editor to preview images added by URL, as well as those from Rise Storage.

  • The Time and Date Widget will now preview visual changes inside the Editor view

  • Users can now paste Google Sheets data into our Text Widget (columns, rows, or an entire spreadsheet if needed)
