What we did last week:

  • Our improvements to our user interface to make it easier to get started with Rise Vision are continuing to be deployed daily.

  • A fix for an issue where Rise Player would sometimes fail to restart properly on Linux has been fixed and is now being deployed and we have moved to Chromium 50 to address a problem with version 49 and images in some situations.

  • Test coverage for Rise Player and the continuous deployment process is almost complete and we should have full automated continuous test and deployments with no manual steps required by Tuesday.

  • We have spent the last couple of weeks analyzing our user messaging trying to only reach out to offer assistance when you have an issue, a job you need done, rather than just messaging and hoping it helps and isn’t annoying. These changes are being deployed over the next week.

  • Improvements to the Rise Player proxy management are deployed and we have further simplifications in the works along with a couple of bug fixes that are starting to be deployed now.

  • Getting closer to zero open defects taking 3 away from our 17 that we had open last week, leaving us with 14 open across our 60 active projects on GitHub.

  • We released a new Spreadsheet Widget as an early preview. Check it out and be sure to let us know your feedback or if you run into any issues.

  • Our Creative Team released several new packages this week: a menu board, three different donor wall options and three different directory options. If you have any questions on them let us know at creative@risevision.com

  • If you’re curious about the package concept you can read about it here on Sixteen-Nine.
