I am unable to get any of my images to show up in my presentations. I am unable to access storage within my account, so have tried a couple different storage options for my files. What am I doing wrong?

Sorry to hear you're having difficulty.

Depending on your network environment, I've seen firewalls prevent images from being shown. You can review the information here to see what sites and ports needs to be available.

Each Placeholder and Content Item can have the ability of setting a specific Display or Timeline in the Presentation. For the time being, I would ensure that the Distribution is set to All Displays, and the Timeline is set to Always since if improperly set, can cause content to not show.

Regarding the inability to access Rise Storage. We have recently discovered that if you have 3rd party cookies disabled, that it may cause some of these problems. You can review this by going to chrome://settings/content when in Chrome.

Without knowing exactly what other sites you were using, the links from the sites should point to the image itself, and not a web page that contains the image.

Please let us know if you need anything further.

Thanks.

I have not tried looking at my presentation on my display at this point, I am still trying to create the presentation. I have been able to get my video to work, but my images just show the broken link image when I put in the URL. When I read that many people had problems with dropbox, I set up an amazon s3 account and stored the images there. I am putting in the URL provided.

The other issue I am having is getting our Twitter feed to show up. Perhaps I am not understanding what information needs to be put in and where in order to get that to work.

Regarding the images being at Amazon S3, you should make sure that the permissions for the images are set to Open/Download for everyone, otherwise they will not show up. I only mention it because I have made that mistake myself :)

Have you set up a Twitter Social Connector on your Company's Settings page? You will need that before you can show any Tweets.

Once you have your Twitter Social Connector set up, it should be a matter of adding the Twitter Gadget to your Presentation, and entering in the appropriate search criteria.

Let us know how you make out!

Thank you for all the information. I seem to have gotten most things working. I seem to be struggling with the video still. Our video is currently located on YouTube. It shows up in the preview as I am making the presentation, but not on the actual display. I am 99.9% certain there is not a firewall issue. Any other suggestions?

Unfortunately, we don't support YouTube.

Apart from what was mentioned above, if you're using the Raspberry Pi, then that doesn't support video and could explain why you're not seeing it show.

I do recall people having problems when they used the shortened URL from YouTube. I don't recall if the problem only was Displays, or also included Previews, but I would ensure you're using the full URL to be safe.

Thanks.

I am having a similar issue with images hosted on our ftp site. They are not showing up on the displays although they show up on Rise Vision when I create the presentation. Is this a firewall issue, or is there something else going on? I can't find a setting in the ftp for permissions for open/download for everyone.

David,

Is it possible that your trial to rise storage expired?

David,

If images hosted on your website are not appearing it is likely a problem with your hosting provider or your hosting configuration. You will need to contact the person in charge of administration of that service in order to troubleshoot the issue.

Embarrassing solution. The images are scheduled to display one image per week. I had never seen the timeline scheduler for all images. It should be set to always, but it was unchecked and the dates were incorrect. Therefore the placeholder timeline blocked the individual images from being displayed.
Thanks for the suggestions

David,

There are so many features available on the platform that often we in support and development miss things! I'm glad you were able to find a solution.
