Image Widget Flashes Screen Black Between Image Transitions

I am using the Rise Player on my Amazon FireTV Stick, and it will load videos using the android widget just fine.  Now I am using the Image Widget and added 5 total images (hosted on a 3rd party).  Now each time it switches to the next image, the screen flashes black, then i catch the tail end of the 'fade' transition, then it repeats.  It almost seems like it is not caching the image?  I'm not sure what the issue is.  I get the same problem when I turn off transitions.  Screen turns black for a millisecond before displaying the next image in the placeholder.  It displays just fine when previewing in a browser on my PC.

Thinking it was a 3rd party server issue, I started the trial for Rise Vision Storage and put those same 5 images on there, and it still has the same issue.

I then conducted another test:  Since I did not see these screen flashing issues while I had a video playing on the same presentation, I created a small placeholder and added the android video widget, assigned a 3rd party location video file to play, and like magic, the screen flashing issue goes away, and the fade transitions work great.  I then made this placeholder for the video 1px x 1px and set the video to be on continuous loop, and the flashing is completely solved.

What would cause this?

Could you provide us with the Preview link to your Presentation so we can take a look?

Thanks

I hope this is a correct link you're looking for.  I have a placeholder i named "flicker_stopper" and it is just a 1px x 1px video on continuous loop.  Like I said this solved my problem, but would like to avoid having to do this if there is a permanent fix in the background.  Also, as mentioned, the transition issues never appeared on the web preview - only during playback on my Amazon FireTV Stick.

hmm following that link I notice that the text under the class name is jumbling up for some reason.  Doesn't do this on a different PC or my FireTV Stick.  Odd.

Preview is not very accurate representation of what it is going to look on actual display. It is even worse with custom html presentations. This is why I preview on actual display and player.

This could be a webview issue with acceleration on some transitions not working correctly. Can you confirm what fire stick you have. Gen 1 or Gen 2? Also the app is due an update next month. We had to wait till gen 1 devices got the new Fire OS which could be causing some Issues. I believe once gen 1 devices are updated and we post the new updated app the issues will be solved.

I believe it is the gen 1. I purchased it when amazon first released these. It's promising to hear that it could be fixed by an app update! Thank you!

Yea I have to wait on the gen 1 devices to go to fire os 5. Amazon is doing a slow release which has really been an issue for developers because it's way to slow. It's been 2 weeks since the first device got it and i have both the box and stick waiting on it. I also need to test but Amazon didn't update any of the developer previews to the newer version which made some developers mad.
On a side note the new update will require the new OS update. I used amazons webview to get video to work on the old device. I'm changing back to the device webview since it will be a better version. This change will kill video on the old OS, so beaware of that.

Anyway be patient and hopefully the new update will fix a few issues. Thanks

Thanks William. Sew & Design Studio, it seems to be that the progress for this issue is reliant on the new update from Amazon.
