I have an HTML file that runs locally on my computer and references a directory that has all my graphics, jquery.js file to get data, and another Java Script file.  It runs fine on my computer.  How would I get this to run on Rise?  I can put the directory structure on one of my servers and run the HTML file I guess.  Or can I put it up on Rise Storage?  Which Widget do I use to run it?

Hi Bryan,

In Rise Storage select the upload folder option and upload the folder that contains all your files. Once it is done uploading click on your HTML file and then click the chain icon. This will give you a link to your webpage. You can then use the web page widget that page.

If you have any questions let me know.

See attached this gif for a demo https://storage.googleapis.com/risemedialibrary-f114ad26-949d-44b4-87e9-8528afc76ce4/web-page.gif

Thanks,
Shea

Thanks for the quick respons.  So the folder has all the files, but the actual HTML file is not in that folder.  Would I think create a folder on storage called HTML5 and then inside that upload my Folder and my HTML file?

Hi Bryan,

Creating a overarching folder should work. If it doesn't let me know and I'll think of a different set up.

Thanks,
Shea

OK Shea.  I just got a chance to try this.  The HTML file is reading from the adjacent folder on the background image because I can see it on the screen.  That same folder has the jquery and java script to get my data and display.  That part is not working.  Any suggestions?

Hi Bryan,

I'll need to take a look at it. Could you please let me know the name of your company in Rise Vision.

Thanks

Red Oak which is a sub-company under Digichief.  Presentation is Development-Pump Top 10-23-15-WX Widget (1920x1080).  I put it in the top banner and also tried it in the middle-left box.  It is reading from my rise storage folder called WeatherHTML

Hi Bryan,

In the webpage widget I removed the "s" from HTTPS and I think it solved the issue.

Can you please check and let me know.

Thanks,
Shea

I do need something else real quick. In that same presentation, in the main placeholder, I have a video called AP World that I am pulling from a URL on one of my servers.  But it is not playing it.  I used the HTML5 Video widget to do it.  Is there something else that plays it better?

Okay thanks for the info, I'll test this out tomorrow and see if I can recreate it and I'll get back to you.

Thanks,

Try Marketplace InStore.  It has Rise Connect on it.  I cannot get the new player to load.  Same with Office-Viz.

Also, how can you tell what the PlayerID is on a box?  My Harrodsburg 7-8 is running fine when dial in on TeamViewer, but in Rise Displays, it shows it is off-line. I am assuming the it has the wrong Player ID in it.

Can we talk about a couple issues this morning so that I can get them resolved?
1)  I loaded the new Rise Player, but it will not come up to enter in PlayerID on MarketPlace Instore
2)  Harrodsburg 7-8 is running the new Rise Player find, but in Rise Display on-line, it says it is off-line for 6 days.  I think there is a incorrect PlayerID in one of them.  How do I check what the PlayerID is on the actual player?
3)  I cannot get the New Rise Player to load on my office development box.  May be same issue as #1

Hi Bryan,

We can get these issues resolved this morning.

1 and 3) I am going to connect to the Office-Viz display and take a look at what might be wrong and then do the same with MarketPlace Instore.

2) You can check the Display ID by navigating to the RiseDisplayNetworkII.ini file on C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\rvplayer

If you have any questions let me know.

Thanks,
Shea

Bryan,

That should do it just fine.  Is it a web.m video?   Another option would be to try the video folder widget, but that would require you use Rise storage instead of pulling that video from the URL where it currently lives.
