HTML Widget not working but HTML Gadget does

I am moving from the Gadgets to Widgets and we have a live camera feed that requires HTML.

The code worked fine in the Gadget, but in the Widget it doesn't display at all!

This is the code. Any reason you can see that it wouldn't work in the Widget?

<!DOCTYPE html><html>
 <head>
  <meta http-equiv='Content-Type' content='text/html;charset=UTF-8' />
  <script type='text/javascript' src='http://192.1.1.1:3939/jsv/SncViewer.js'></script>;
 </head>
 <body onload="new SNC.viewer('MyViewer', {sz:'5',ptz:'1',fps:'15',frm:'0',iPS:'1'})">
    <div style='margin:30px' id='MyViewer'></div>
 </body>
</html>

Hi Glencoe Glen,
I tried the code on the HTML Item, HTML Widget and also by itself (i.e. replacing all the code in HTML view to the sample provided) and was not able to see anything working. The confirm, is the domain hosting the .js only viewable inside the network?

I removed our IP address as it's not public and I don't want to make it so :)

Nothing shows up in the Widget, but it works as it should with the Gadget.

Glen,

I had a similar bug logged where HTML functioned differently in the Widget than it did in the item. You can view it here.

If you can email the full code to support@risevision.com, we will try to replicate, then I will be able to provide our developers with some more information.

Hi Glen,

I've replicated and logged this issue here https://github.com/Rise-Vision/widget-html/issues/23

I believe it's having to do with http vs https. I don't know if his server has ssl setup but it's probably worth doing. If it's setup with ssl then I would do the URL with https. That might solve his issue. I had to do that with my server for my widgets when I got the same error.

We don't have SSL on it, it's just a live feed camera so Golfers can check conditions before coming out.

Hey there, sorry for the late response, but looking at the bug report, this couldn't be replicated on our newest player. Can you let us know if you are still having the problem?

Thanks!
