Hi RV - I love the product. Thank you. I am grateful for the amazing service and features.
I realize I have to transition to the HTML Widget now....

Can you please describe how the HTML Widget can Cache content?

Imagine I have a Presentation with the the following Playlist items:

  • HTML Widget - 30 sec - Google Slide 1 embeded, set to:  'embed?start=true&loop=true&delayms=3000'
  • HTML Widget - 10 sec - Google Slide 1 embeded, set to: 'embed?start=false'

I used to use the HTML Item - and at 3am, the content would load and stay cached all day long.

I didn't have to worry about the WiFi dropping.

But now, with the HTML Widget, this is an issue, correct?
Does not the HTML Widget pull fresh data each time the Playlist item is reached in the Presentation order?

Is there a way to Cache content with the HTML Widget?

Not only am I concerned about the WiFi dropping, there is a small lag as the content loads. It looks like a loading page, instead of a smooth, cached transition.

In Summary: Can the HTML Widget Cache content, or please link to details on how it pulls data each time a Playlist item plays in the Presentation.

Thanks in advance,
Jeremy

Hi there Jeremy!

Do you have a Presentation where you are seeing the HTML Widget act differently than the Item? If it is, I'd like to investigate this so I can log a bug if we have an issue.

Thanks!
