How to set up a livestream on your presentation using the HTML Widget

While Rise Vision does not offer a widget that supports live streaming. This article will provide our users with possible methods for your presentations using the HTML Widget.

If you are interested in streaming a video that is already hosted elsewhere, such as live news, it is best practice to use our HTML widget. Paste the code provided between thetags within the configuration.

Live News Networks:

ABC News

CBC News

Click on the ‘Happening Now’ video, then the share icon on the upper left corner. Click “Embed” and paste that code into the HTML widget.

Live Sports:

FOX Sports

Youtube Live Sports

Beneath the video player, click ‘Share’ and then ‘Embed’. Copy & paste the URL only into our Youtube Widget. Add ?autoplay=1 to the end of the URL. You can view an example in the Youtube section below. Remember, when dealing with videos hosted on Youtube, you must use our Youtube Widget. Using HTML or any other video widgets will not work.

Live Gaming:


You can use this platform to stream your screen while gaming, or share somebody else’s live game.

Navigate to the game and user video you’d like to stream. Click ‘Share’ and copy the link beneath ‘Embed Live Player’.

Hosting your live stream on Youtube

If you are streaming from a laptop, camera, mobile device, game, or share screen Youtube live may be what you are looking for. You can also stream Google hangouts to display your meetings live!

After you have logged into your Youtube, head on over to your dashboard.

  • Select ‘Live Streaming’

  • Click ‘get started’.

  • You will need to verify your Youtube account to get started. You can choose between having a verification code sent to you via voice message or SMS.

  • Accept the terms and conditions.

You will now be forwarded to your dashboard. You can view the entire guide on how to get your live stream up here

After you’re all set up, grab the embedded code that Youtube provides with your stream. Paste the URL only into your Youtube Widget.

Youtube Live channels to stream on your presentation (politics, gaming, comedy, travel and more):

Remember: in order for your embedded Youtube streams to play automatically when your presentation starts, add ‘?autoplay=1’ to the end of the URL.


Copy & paste that URL into your Youtube widget settings.

Displaying your IP Camera / RTSP

Below are a few platforms that allow you to host and stream your live video surveillance and footage. Remember that these services are third party, and are in no way associated with Rise Vision. Any questions or troubleshooting issues should be taken to the appropriate support team.

These platforms will render an embedded code for your stream, so the same procedure with our HTML widget applies. Just paste in between thetags within the configuration.

Note that you will have to pay for these platforms. The rates are fairly affordable. This is the easiest and quickest route in getting you set up.

Use at your own discretion:

Remember to choose the subscription that allows embedding on websites when paying for a platform.

Also don't forget that the widgets that are being used here are mainly the HTML Widget which is available for free in the Store.
