Charles, that you can minimize with faster (wired) Internet connection and more powerful device. Even if you do your part to cut that loading time to the minimum, you cannot control the server/hosting of each website you are trying to get uploaded to your device. The website itself may have elements that would make any browser to sweat bullets before uploading it. In short, it is a complex issue.

Charles, another idea...please re-add your Video Widget so that it is the latest Rise Vision Web Page Widget. Then remember to set your Refresh Interval to 60 minutes to experience the smoothest playback, with occasional reloads.

I think he was talking about web page transitions, but I do not see why your advice would not work with the Webpage Widget.

Yes, it is web page transitions, I am using a Pi 3. I tried adding a background image, but it doesn't work at all. Thanks for the replies.

I did get the background to work. Had to change to a gif.

Interesting. You want to say JPEG did not work? Quite frankly, I am surprise that even worked ))) but I also do not know what you were cooking there. Would be nice to see the preview as well.

It could very well be the the size of the GIF compared to the JPG? I imagine that it will load the resource first followed be the rest of the site resources...
