While risevision's storage works flawlesly (for us at least) i am having problem in linking any kind of content that is uploaded on another storage. I have tried media fire, dropbox, and when i try to link, lets say image, it doesnt show up. Am i doing something wrong? In dropbox im going to share link option, then copy paste into placeholder.

Any solution, or perhaps a suggestion which storage to use? I have tried amazonaws, but i am having problem with phone verification so i sent them letter and witing for response.

When you use the shared link, does it take you directly to the file in question, or does it bring you to a separate web page with that file on it?  Ideally, the link you use should point directly to the image for use with Rise Vision.

thanks.

Using Dropbox, make sure the file is in the "Public" folder. I know files via the share link work most of the time, but I have run into issues where it just stops working. So far files in the Public folder have been pretty reliable.

Can someone share the defined process to link images from from Dropbox to RiseVision to create a Presentation. I only see blanks in preview and my files are in the Public folder.

In terms of the steps I've taken in the past, I'll go to Dropbox and then to the Public folder.  I'll right-click on the file in question and select the Copy Public Link option.  Copy that link to the clipboard, and then paste to the Image Item, or Video Item and then save.

You can verify the links are good by pasting them into a browser, and they should go directly to the file in question, and not a page that has the image/video on it. (URL should end with a jpg/png/webm/whatever_filetype_you're_using extension)

Thanks.

Is it possible to have an image linked that is re-uploaded (re-saved) every day?  For example, I want to show company numbers for the month but I would like to just save the file every morning rather than having to go to my presentation and copy and paste a new link every day.  Does anyone know if just re-saving the file into the same location every day would update the file in my presentation?  Or is there a different way to do this?

Hi S-One,

That should work using the Image widget if you are using Rise Storage.  I believe the overwritten file should update on the display within 15 minutes.  Please feel free to do this and let us know the results.

You are correct, it worked!  I was just using the default image viewer and it did not work but the image widget looks like it works perfectly.  Thanks!
