How do I know if I am running the most current RSS Gadget?

I am using the Rise Vision Gadget RSS List with Blogger. It is still showing posts that I have deleted in the last few days. I have restarted the display server. It still shows the old posts.  The URL for the blog is http://wueh1.blogspot.com//feeds/posts/default
I read that there is a new RSS gadget 2 years ago. I am not sure if I am running it or not. How can I tell which version I have?

Mike,

The RSS gadget is something we have not moved to the widget quite yet. I think the best way to tell if there is a change for you, would be to add a new RSS gadget to your placeholder and take a look if the configuration layout is the same.

I will take a look at your blog to see if I'm seeing the same issue.

Mike,

I've taken a look at your RSS feed. Could you clear your browsers cache and try previewing your presentation again? I think the RSS feed may be cached on your display, which would explain why the old posts are still appearing.

I thought the browers cache was cleared when the display was restarted.

Mike,

To be certain your cache is clearing, please navigate to your RVPlayer directory, delete all files except for RiseVisionPlayer.exe and RiseDisplayNetworkII.ini. Double click RiseVisionPlayer.exe to re-generate all files. This should fully clear your cache.

I deleted the everything in the cache. It is still displaying the deleted posts. It must have something to do with the Google blogger.

I'm still having a problem with using Blogger with the RSS.  I think the problem may be with my blog. When I try to view it I get an error message that says too many redirects. (screenshot attached)  Is there a better way to list announcements?  I have successfully used blogger for a couple years, though I had the same problem a couple years ago with old posts showing up. At that time I deleted the gadget and set it up again.  I tried to do that this time with the RSS widget but I can't get it to work at all with my blog http://wueh1.blogspot.com/

The documentation is a little unclear.  When I configure the RSS gadget do if I use http://wueh1.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss will that work or do I need to change the settings in Blogger?  If the latter, I can't find where I can do that.  When I try the former it doesn't display anything in preview.

Mike,

It looks like if you use http://wueh1.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss you may be able to configure it to display on your presentation.

Do I need to publish it to get feed to show up in preview?  It's blank when I save the presentation with that address for the feed.

Mike,

It is appearing in a presentation that I set up on my end. You may try deleting the gadget and setting up from scratch using that URL. You will also need to tinker with the layout settings.

I think there must be something else going on because I can't see any events from Google calendar or the announcements from the RSS feed in preview.  I'll try it on a different network and see if it our district Proxy settings that are blocking preview.

I set up a blog in Word Press to see if that would work but I don't know how to generate the RSS URL. Do you know how I would find it?  the blog address is https://wuelementary.wordpress.com/

Mike,

There's a link at the bottom that is for the Entries RSS, that will be the URL of your RSS feed.

Right, for some reason Word Press blog works, blogger doesn't.  It may have to do with our school district proxy server.  I mistakenly included the word feed: at the beginning of the url for word press after I removed that, it works fine. Thanks for your help.
